Team Mission

To provide education and seek resources to transform the UCSB campus design, development, construction, and modification process to ensure an energy efficient and environmentally responsible built environment.

Goals


  • Identify and codify all campus LEED credits.
  • Create sustainability language for all renovations.
  • Ensure all green operations and maintenance policies are kept up to date.
  • Revise and resubmit campus credits for LEED v3.0.

Past Accomplishments


  • Chancellor Yang created the practice of a LEED-NC Silver minimum on all building projects commissioned after July 1, 2004.
  • Custodial Services created the Low Environmental Impact Cleaning Policy in 2004.

  • Marine Science Research Building - LEED-NC Certified
  • Student Resources Building - LEED-NC Silver
