Team Mission

To communicate UCSB's numerous and diverse sustainability efforts and accomplishments to the campus, regional, and national communities.

Goals


  • Upgrade sustainability web site.
  • Increase awareness of sustainability, particularly to incoming students.
  • Collaborate more with the Santa Barbara community.
  • Continue fall sustainability media blitzes.

Past Accomplishments


  • Created a new sustainability logo.
  • Planned and created a fall sustainability media blitz: press release, convocation speech, table tents in dining commons, and a slide show in the residence halls.
  • Biweekly sustainability update email.
  • Media coverage of numerous awards presented to UCSB.
  • Article in parents' newsletter.
  • Sustainability Media Team - student-run newsletter and videos.
  • Half-time show competition to promote RecycleMania.
