Every Drop Counts! Volunteer Day
October 10th
Training: Throughout the day
Volunteering: All day (7:30am-5pm)
*We are asking volunteers to sign up for hour long shifts (or longer if you can do it).
Location: Ellison 3626B
Spend an hour or a few at Ellison Hall on October 11th learning about how water is used and identifying ways that we can conserve. Misty Williams of the Goleta Water District is also going to offer training and guidance on how to do a building water audit. Snacks will be provided for volunteers. There will also be a series of games volunteers can play which will make them eligible for cool prizes. Email Krispi@umail.ucsb.edu to sign up for a volunteer time.
Taking the LEED to Climate Neutrality Volunteer Day
October 15th
Training: 12-1pm
Volunteering: 1-4:30pm
*We are asking volunteers to sign up for hour long shifts (or longer if you can do it).
Location: Ellison 3626B
Learn about ways the students, staff and faculty can reduce their energy consumption while helping us to go door to door throughout Ellison Hall handing out CFLs and Turn out the Light Signs and spreading awareness about the need to conserve on energy. This is an important step towards our goal of becoming a LEED Existing Building (link to www.usgbc.org) Email Krispi@umail.ucsb.edu to sign up for a volunteer time.
