Energy

Buildings use 48% of all energy and 78% of all electricity in the United States. Their impact is huge, but so are our opportunities to improve the efficiency of our buildings. At UCSB, we see conservation as the first step in lowering our operating costs and environmental impact. While we continue to make strategic investments in renewable energy, energy conservation can have a much bigger impact for the cost at UCSB.
