Green Campus Program
The mission of the Green Campus program is to save energy at UCSB with student-led, energy conservation programs.
The Goals of the Green Campus program are to:
- Building general campus awarness.
- Incorporating energy conservation and efficiency into course curricula.
- Implementing projects targeting energy use, student purchasing decisions, and operational changes.
- Collaborating with UCSB's administration to create and adopt sustainable policy measures.
Previous Green Campus projects have included "take the stairs" campaigns, residence hall energy competitions, net zero building investigations, energy audits, LEED auditing, water conservation studies, power management software implementations, presentations in classes and dinning commons studies, just to name a few.
