Michelle Shteynberg is a third-year Environmental Studies, B.S. major. She is an intern for UCSB Sustainability HCN and has worked on projects such as the promotion of clean tap water across campus through Take Back the Tap, a remote supervision best practices guide, and outreach for the Diabetes Prevention Program. She has worked to promote the use of reusable water bottles as well as the reduction of plastic waste on campus and looks forward to continuing this effort. She is also involved in organizations across campus such as the Environmental Affairs Board and the Daily Nexus. Michelle is interested in topics such as public health, environmental advocacy, and health equity and aspires to pursue a future career in these fields.
