After 20 years as the founding Director of Sustainability at UCSB, Mo Lovegreen will be retiring at the end of the year.

YCT at UCSB is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring urban forestry around UC Santa Barbara’s campus, as well as around restoration areas in Goleta and Santa Barbara.

On UCSB’s campus, students apply each year to take on projects to improve food systems.

At UC Santa Barbara, with an army of dedicated students, staff, and faculty, we are actively engaging in a journey to save the bees by becoming Bee Campus certified.

PACES (the Program for the Assessment and Certification for the Environment and Sustainability) and LabRATS (the Laboratory Resources, Advocates, and Teamwork for Sustainability), have been developing sustainable procurement lists for supplies used campus-wide.

In an effort to reduce transportation inequities and emissions, key players in the Isla Vista community worked together to secure grant funding from the State Transportation Equity Program (STEP).
